just because you’re a fan of fall out boy doesn’t mean you’re obligated to be a fan of patrick stump. i just happen to really like his solo music, i didn’t pay money to see him live just for the sake of seeing patrick stump live, you know? i never forced myself to get into black cards or the damned things. why would anyone in fall out boy want you to get into their new music projects just because of who they are? respect and support all of them, cool, but don’t go to their shows just because it’s them and you feel like you have to, you know? it’s okay to not be into their other stuff… and i don’t think anyone should feel that they “have to” be into patrick’s solo music in order to support his decisions as a musician. you don’t have to make yourself like music you wouldn’t like if it wasn’t patrick making the music.
